ADULT LEAGUE REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Hawthorne AYSO Region 21 adult league is open for registration. We offer adults of the community an opportunity to develop a better understanding of our organized soccer program in order to promote a fun, and family environment based on AYSO philosophies: everyone plays, balanced teams, open registration, positive coaching, good sportsmanship, and player development. The objectives of our adult program are that it be safe, promote better health, and fun!

IS THE PROGRAM OPEN TO ANYONE?
While the motivation behind the creation of this program comes from the parents, older siblings and volunteers involved in our youth programs, our adult league is open to anyone 19 years old and older. Players must be 19 (birth year 2001)

HOW COMPETITIVE IS THE LEAGUE?
This is a recreational adult soccer program.  No minimum requirement of soccer or physical skill is required. The league is designed to accommodate a wide range of player skill levels. Some players have never played soccer before, while other are highly skilled. The only requirement is that you come out to have some fun. The intent is to play soccer on the weekend and then go to work on Monday.

WHEN WILL GAMES BE PLAYED?
The updated schedule of registration can be found on our new portal for Adult players ONLY at AYSO21 ADULTS.
(Click the link to be directed to the new portal.)

WHERE WILL GAMES BE PLAYED?

HOW MANY TEAMS TO START THE SEASON?
We require to have 8 teams actively registered in order to start the season. Open registration will start before the season officially starts and it will close two weeks after. NO PLAYERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IF NOT REGISTERED

ARE GAMES PICK-UP STYLE? (play as you show up)
NO, If the player is not registered with the Adult League at AYSO REGION 21 the player will not be allowed to participate till registration is complete and Adult League Coordinator has approved of enrollment and placed in an active team.

DO WE GET SHIRTS OR CAN WE BRING OUR OWN?
You will be given a T-Shirt for the season, the color depends on the Team Manager who must submit such information via email to the coordinator along with each players size with advanced time in order to have T-shirts made and ready by the start of the season.

*** When you input your JERSEY information please be aware T-shirt sizes run "FIT" form (a bit smaller than usual)***

ALSO, share the shirt size with your team coordinator AND League Representative. Sizes go up to 3XL (not loose fitting)

WHAT DIVISIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE THIS SEASON?
  • Coed Teams (one division for all ages)  with restrictions applied - - - if we cannot separate due to lack of participation in order to create a suitable schedule per division of at least 8 teams.
  • Under -30 Division (for players younger than 30 and must be over 18 and no longer eligible to play "KIDS" AYSO)
  • Over 30+ Division (for players 30 and older)
  • CO-ED Team Restrictions:

Each team must have one female player (we recommend having two female players registered in each team), no more than three Under 30 aged players to balance all teams (one may be a female) also no more than two of the "younger" actively playing in the field at game time.

  • IF all 3 players meet the requirements of: One Female and Two Under 30 Males then no penalties.
  • Team Rosters must meet a minimum of 10 players and 15 is the maximum.
HOW WILL COED TEAMS WORK?
Coed 7-v-7 Matches
Of the seven players on the field, there may not be more than 6 men on the field in a team at one time. Every team must have at least one female player actively on the field of play at all times. If team does not have a female on the team they will have to play 6 v 7 (penalized for absence of Female player - either until they add one or the player herself arrives to the game).
It is highly recommended that each team have a minimum of two female players in their team as it gives opportunity for adequate substitution + rest time and active playing time.
Team must meet a minimum of 10 player roster and the maximum amount is 15 players in a roster.

CAN I PLAY ON MORE THAN ONE TEAM?
NO, Players may only play on one team during each season.

Do I need a uniform?
Yes, one will be provided to you (t-shirt) and must be worn at game time, and during rest periods. If any player does not have a uniform shirt on, then they will not be allowed to play.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS FOR THE GAME WE ARE SCHEDULED FOR?
1) Your team rep will have to contact the League Coordinator and inform him of a forfeit 24hrs prior to the game in order to have enough time to contact opposing team to let them know not to show up and they will also be awarded automatically a win by forfeit.
2) IF your team arrives to the field and there is not enough players present, the game can still take place!
the minimum of players allowed in a team is 4. The other team is not obligated to play down. (4 vs 7)

3) IF at the field your team chooses to forfeit due to lack of participants BUT everyone there (both teams) still wish to play, the game will be unsanctioned - thus it is "pick-up style". For this type of game a Referee is not required to stay, unless everyone agrees to collect Referee fees.

WILL THERE BE PLAYOFFS?
In order to have a playoffs system we require there be at least 8 teams registered for the season.

WHAT ARE THE FEES INVOLVED?

By registering you are entering into an agreement for the following added fee:
***(plus $2.00 per player per game for referee fees at each game)
